WhatsApp is where many of your customers already are. Sharing your Vendlinx store or product link in a chat is one of the fastest ways to turn a conversation into a sale. Here’s how to do it and what happens when someone clicks and pays.
Why Sell Your Vendlinx Store on WhatsApp?
- Your audience is already there – Share a link in a status, group, or DM and people can open it in their browser.
- No separate “WhatsApp shop” to build – Your Vendlinx store is your shop; WhatsApp is just the channel you use to send the link.
- Payments stay secure – Buyers pay on your store via Paystack or Flutterwave (cards, bank transfer, USSD, mobile money). You get paid to your connected account; WhatsApp doesn’t handle money.
What Links to Share
You can share either your whole store or a single product.
Your store link
Your store has a public URL. For example:
- Subdomain:
https://yourstore.vendlinx.com(if you use a Vendlinx subdomain) - Main site path:
https://vendlinx.com/vend/yourstore(replaceyourstorewith your store slug) - Custom domain:
https://shop.yourbrand.com(if you’ve connected your own domain)
You’ll see your exact store URL in Vendlinx Studio when you’re in your store settings or dashboard. Copy that and share it on WhatsApp.
A single product link
To send people straight to one course or ebook:
- Product page:
https://vendlinx.com/p/your-product-slug(or the same path on your subdomain or custom domain)
Share this when you’re talking about one specific product in a chat or in a status.
What Buyers See When They Click
- They open the link (in their phone browser or in-app browser).
- They see your store or product page – your logo, name, description, and price.
- They click “Buy” or “Purchase” and enter their email (and name if required).
- They’re taken to Paystack or Flutterwave to complete payment (card, bank transfer, USSD, mobile money, etc., depending on what you’ve enabled and what’s available in their country).
- After payment, they’re redirected back to your store and can access their purchase (e.g. in “My purchases” or via a link you or the system sends).
They never enter their card or bank details inside WhatsApp; everything sensitive happens on the payment provider’s page.
How You Get Paid from WhatsApp Traffic
There’s no special “WhatsApp payment” inside Vendlinx. When someone comes from WhatsApp and pays:
- They pay on your store using Paystack or Flutterwave.
- The money is processed by that provider (minus their fees).
- Vendlinx applies its fee (see your dashboard or our Terms of Service for the exact breakdown).
- The rest is your earnings and can be withdrawn to your bank account according to your payout settings.
So “traffic from WhatsApp” is just visitors who clicked your link; the payment flow and how you get paid are the same as for any other visitor.
Tips for Sharing on WhatsApp
- Use a short, clear message – e.g. “Check out my store: [link]” or “This course is here: [link]”.
- Share in status – Your store or product link in a status stays visible for 24 hours and can drive repeat clicks.
- Send product links in DMs – When someone asks “how much?” or “where do I buy?”, reply with the direct product link.
- Pin or save the link – Keep your main store link handy so you can paste it quickly whenever you promote.
